Step-by-Step Process for Nigerians

1. Choose the Right Schengen Country

You must apply to the embassy/consulate of the country where you will spend the most time OR Where you will first enter the Schengen Area.

Example: If you’re spending 5 days in France and 3 in Italy, apply through the French embassy.

2. Determine Your Visa Type

Most Nigerian travellers apply for the Short-Stay Schengen Visa (Type C) for tourism, visiting family/friends, or business.

3. Schedule an Appointment

Most embassies use VFS Global for visa applications. Book your appointment online: Visit https://www.vfsglobal.com
Choose the country and then Select visa type and date.

4. Prepare Required Documents

Here’s a checklist of documents you’ll need:

  • Visa application form (filled and signed)
